Choosing your Wedding Photographer in Paphos

Here are a few guidelines on choosing your wedding photographer in Paphos.

We have found the following to be true when couples choose their wedding photographer – listed in order of importance:-

1        Photographers style, reputation and quality of photos

2        Customer Service

3        Price

Ask yourself...

How long you would like your photographer to be at your wedding and how you imagine your dream photos to be.

Would you like him/her to document your whole day or perhaps be around for just a couple of hours.

Do you want lots of formal family shots or perhaps a more natural approach capturing your day as it unfolds.

To acquire many natural photos your photographer will need to be around for a little longer than an hour or
so to capture those special moments

In addition your ceremony, family photos and cocktail reception, think about having photos before your wedding ceremony of getting ready, having your hair and make-up done at your accommodation or hotel Spa.

Sunset photos and/or beach photos are really worth thinking about when you don’t live in Cyprus and many brides
find these are their favourites to show back home to friends and family that couldn’t attend the wedding.

Photography Style

Search the internet and see what style appeals to you most.  The main styles are traditional/posed, contemporary, natural/reportage. When making an enquiry do check the images you have seen on the website have been done by the photographer who will photograph your wedding.

Personality & Personal Recommendations

Read their testimonials to get a feel for their personality and how they are likely to fit in around your special day. Ask other brides with similar tastes to you who they used for their wedding photography.

Personal Service

Make sure that you will have the opportunity of discussing your wishes at a meeting with your photographer or perhaps his assistant before your wedding day.

Tips about Photography Packages & Prices

1                  Check you can choose the photos for your album, how are they printed and the type of wedding album/s available.

2                 If you are offered a CD/DVD containing your still images check whether the CD/DVD is printable or view only (ie DVD Slide Show or small images for web use).

There is a considerable difference between the two.  The printable CD/DVD requires many more hours editing work in the studio.

Ensure the final image file size is large enough, as this will determine the size of print you can do before compromising on quality.

3                 Ask how your photos are backed up and how long will your photos be available to you after your wedding for extra prints or should you lose your CD/DVD

4                 Make sure you know what everything costs and that there are no hidden extras after your wedding.  i.e. out of area fees if your photographer isn't based in Paphos

5                  When comparing prices ensure you check `like for like’ in terms of what is included in the package along including number of hours, the quality and service you will receive. If something seems very cheap, then it is often of low quality.

6                 Consider how much care and time is given to the post-production in the studio following your wedding day as this is very important; after all your photos should last a lifetime.

You want your photos quickly after your wedding but an experienced professional photographer will spend much longer in the studio than attending your wedding day.

You will very likely find yourself drawn towards a particular style of photography.  Enjoy browsing the internet.
